Upcoming Litters

There are plans for a 2024 litter this Summer between Kintla and an outside dog. We are NOT taking deposits at this time until closer to when breeding is likely to happen, just in case this breeding doesn't happen.

Update 6/4: Kintla is in season and plans are in place to breed her this week/next week. I will update this page once breedings have happened and I begin taking names. Orange roans and Orange Clear are possible in this litter.

Update 6/27: Kintla has been bred to Tooney. Pregnancy Confirmation will take place in the next week or two.

Kintla is my little pocket rocket. Speedy with a love of birds and natural retrieve. Her biggest downfall is due to a bad experience at a field trial at a super young age she is gunshy, so was pulled from the field. She is a soft girl who lives to please.
This will be Kintla's second litter. Her first litter produced amazing family companions and hunting partners that are NOT gunshy, nor soft to the point of being unfunctional in the field, with one having won local fundraiser competitions and another living in Canada working alongside a falconer.
The last litter also of course produced two AKC Champions and Rally title holders. CH ElkhrnMtns Warbonnet Prairie Huntress At FireEgle RA CGC "Artemis", and Multiple Group Winner/Placer (Variety and NOHS), Reserve Best in Show, Owner Handled Best in Show, AKC National Championship Award of Merit GCHB CH Elkhrn Mtn's Poetic Playboy RN BCAT TKN "Apollo". Both dogs are birdy with excellent noses and a desire to please.
Kintla is OFA Excellent, Elbows Normal, Eyes Normal.

Tooney is owned by Ron and Pan Noe in Whitehall, MT. He was second place in the Derby Points standing, as well as placed second at the ABC Derby Invitational in Boonville, Arkansas. He's a compact boy with a lot of run, ranging between Gun Dog and All Age range depending on the cover, and is a sweetheart as icing on the cake.
He is what's called an Orange Roan, a perfectly acceptable color pattern per the Brittany Breed Standard, so this litter could produce some roans. On top of that he is half brother to Spunky, sharing the same sire (DC AFC Beaver's Straight Arrow), with a few Field Champions, including Dual Champion Tequila's Joker.

I'm hoping this breeding produces bold and easy to manage hunting companions that look good getting the job done, and am excited to see what happens!

Pick Puppy will remain here, though second may also have a sport/show home. Priority will be given to hunting/sport homes unless I get one I feel is best suited to a quiet pet life.

Mars (Formerly Mercury) will be staying here with his half brother, Apollo, and the rest of the Elkhorn crew.

Diana (Formerly Venus) will be staying in the program under co ownership in Colorado with her half sister, Artemis.
