Upcoming Litters

Plans are in place to breed Spunky as soon as she comes into season. We are NOT taking deposits at this time, as I want to ensure the breeding is actually going to happen before I do. But, if you want to be put on a contact list for when I do start taking deposits, please send me an email (with the information listed on the contact page next to the form)

Spunky is in season again and has been bred to Apollo. We are still not taking deposits at this time, as having breeding's doesn't guarantee puppies. I will update here when I have more info!

RBIS OHBIS GCH CH Elkhrn Mtn's Poetic Playboy TKN (2/3 Rally Novice Legs)

GCH CH Elkhrn Mtn's Southpaw I Cross My Heart JH BCAT TKN RATN (2/3 Coursing Ability Legs as well)

Spunky is my wild child. Very busy and loves to be moving. If we start heading for somewhere she recognizes she'll start  screaming until we get there. Smart, eager to please dog, and super sweet. Her favorite place to be is out in the field looking for birds, but when she's not doing that she's sleeping under the covers by my feet.
Spunky is a JR's dog for the same young girl that show's Apollo, but because she likes to come into season at inconvenient times, she's only shown occasionally when a substitution has to be made and she's not due in season (or just came out) for quite some time. She, along with all of my other dogs, visits my workplace (Long Term Care/Assisted Living) and the residents that live there occasionally for pet therapy.

Apollo is my sweet, two braincelled show off. Very flashy in the way he freestacks himself in the ring. Always been a natural in the way he poses himself. It's usually a good sign that a dog is put together well if they can free stack well, and he's been doing it since he was able to actually walk without tripping over his own four feet.
Jokes aside however Apollo is a highly intelligent dog who is working on his obedience training now. We'll be going after some Obedience/Rally titles next summer instead of showing in conformation (Well, we were going to, but he wasn't QUITE as ready for trials as I was hoping he'd be, so we'll try again in September!). He loves birds but we're still at low levels of training with him as he has been slow to mature. Currently his favorite thing to do is chase the pigeons, and if he can catch them, carry them around. I'd been hesitant to try starting him on birds without professional help as to not create bad habits that I created with Spunky, but because of work it's been slow going working with the trainer local to us. My goal next year is to have birds of my own to start working on what I learn with the trainer at home on days off.
Apollo also visits the residents where I work for pet therapy, and is a JR's dog for Mackenzie. He's a snuggly guy who loves to give a high five or a shake of a paw.

With this litter I'm hoping to pull out strong hunting ability and drive that sits in both of their pedigree's through Tipsy, as well as improve on Spunky's angulation and maybe help chill out some of the crazy energy that radiates from her.  What I'm liable to get with this breeding is dogs about as long as Apollo, as Tipsy herself is slightly longer than she is tall (not that you can easily tell in pictures), tailsets that are still lower, and feet that may not be as tight as I'd like them still. But I'm trying to improve on my fronts, and I'm hoping to do that with this. I don't expect to lose what I have with Spunky. But breeding dogs, you can never fully know anyway.

Below are the dogs that will be in this pedigree linebreeding on Tipsy, though two generations drop off on Apollo's end. There are two dual champions here, one senior hunter, three Junior Hunters, and all Champions with Tipsy being a Silver GCH.

Pick Puppy will remain here, though second may also have a sport/show home. Priority will be given to hunting/sport homes unless I get one I feel is best suited to a quiet pet life.
