To find out if any puppies are available, please go to the Upcoming Litters page. All puppy updates are listed there, and the page gets updated EVERY time I have more info on an upcoming litter and any puppies that may be available.
What to expect in my Contract

Return Clause
All of my puppies go on contract for return should the owner be unable to care for the pup/dog at any time in the life of the animal.
Expectation of Care
Puppies are to continue a routine vaccination schedule, including, but not limited to, Rabies (required by law), Distemper, and Parvo.
Routine veterinary care is also expected to be followed through to ensure the puppy lives a long, healthy life.
Proper training and socialization is also expected to ensure the puppy begins, and continues to be, a pleasant member of the family to live with.

Spay / Neuter / Health Guarentee
Elkhorn Mountain Brittanys strongly advocates responsible pet ownership, and as such the puppy is expected be spayed/neutered between one and a half to two years of age (1 ½ - 2 years) with two months leeway after the dog turns two to get an appointment set up. Failure to spay/neuter by age mentioned above, OR have an Ovary Sparing Spay (OSS)/Vasectomy performed on the puppy (this method is preferable as it leaves beneficial hormones to the working dog intact, but prevents ALL unplanned litters) by the age of two, will result in voiding of the health guarantee.
With the OSS/Vasectomy option, pups may be altered between the ages of six months and two years without a void of the contract being made. This is due to the fact that OSS/Vasectomies leave hormones that contribute to proper growth intact while leaving the dog sterile.
Please let me know if you go forward with an OSS / Vasectomy so that, later down the line, if your puppy comes up with a health defect, I know the health guarantee isn't void. This may include a brief letter from your vet.

If said animal when between the ages of two and three years, is shown to have Hip Dysplasia or another genetic issue (with proof from OFA/CERF), breeder will offer either 1) a refund of the puppy price upon whelping of next litter, or 2) a replacement puppy from a future litter. This is void if the dog is altered through traditional spay / neuter before one and a half years of age.

Puppy Send Home Care Package
Puppies are sent home with a gallon ziplock of food that they have been eating up to the point of being sent to their new homes, as well as a toy(s), chew(s), and other miscellaneous items.
Also all current vaccine and deworming, and all vet records to date. If the pup is traveling via air or across borders, a Health Certificate will also be issued.
Litter Certificates (basically a pedigree without the titles listed), copies of parents health testing records, and copies of AKC registration forms (AKC registration will be done online by breeder, or at least started by breeder.)
Please visit my FAQ page. I get repeat questions regularly, and that page may have the answer you're looking for.
Please copy and paste this into your message to me and fill out the answers. Further questions may be asked upon contact, but this will help me decide if a Brittany, or at least a Brittany from me, is a good fit for your home!

Please be HONEST in these answers, because if you're not, the one that ultimately suffers is the puppy.
